I graduated from Ball State University with a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. I get asked all the time, “What made you interested in speech language pathology?” My response is “ I love to talk!” At dinner my parents would frequently say “Jessica’s Broadcasting Station” because I would scarf down my dinner as fast as I could so that I had more time to talk. I became so excited when I found out that there was a profession that helped others talk and communicate. Being a speech language pathologist is such a rewarding career. I enjoy helping kids of all ages access language so that they can effectively communicate with others. I also feel passionate about helping kids improve their social competencies by incorporating Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking curriculum into my therapy sessions. When I am not working, I enjoy geocaching, hiking, traveling to Fort Myers, Fl with my family.
